The Reasons for Learning is a one-hour, four part video (DVD) on Ireland’s Great Hunger explaining the Introduction to Tragedy, The Causes of Calamity, The Great Hunger and The Living Legacy.  The DVD was prepared as a tool for teachers in grades 6 to 12, but has been used by many historians to explain the greatest hunger in European history to a wider audience.
